Website Design & Development of Physicians Doctors

Solution : Community Website

Industry : Health Care

Technology Domain : C#/ASP.Net

Technologies Used: VB, JavaScript, HTML/DHTML, ASP.NET, Microsoft IIS, SQL server 2000

Challenge : The goal was to create a social network where the end user can investigate and search for health care services with ease. The client wanted a comprehensive database of physicians and doctors displayed on the site which could be viewed and rated by the user.

Solution : Registration of users under different categories, search and reviews about physicians are the core activities that could be performed on the website. Reviews can be viewed, added and rated by the users. Nurses and Physicians are associated with unique IDs and the administrator can insert, delete, and update database entities. Website usage statistics included total number of registered users grouped by user type, total number of reviews submitted and/or published number of reviews saved but not published and a list of doctors not reviewed.

Result : The website serves as good portal for the nurses, patients, general visitors and physicians to locate, rate and review the physicians and doctors. A database covering thousands of records is available for the user to view information. MechTechnologies translated the proposed requirements in to a design and the solution was arrived at was based upon three basic components;

  • An administration panel accessed internally by the system managers
  • A front-end, which users will interact with
  • A back-end database containing relevant data (e.g., physicians, nurses, addresses, locations/search material, written material, etc.)
  •
