Challenge : MechTechnologies was asked to plan and build an application that would be able to handle the operations of data synchronization online. For proper synchronization two parts were needed, desktop part and web part. Client requests bit level data synchronization to online web server for files and folders. They needed a cross-plat form product that can be able to run on (Macs/Linux/Windows) multiple operating systems.

Solution : This website was built up using different modules of dot net Nuke version (4.3.7). Modules used in this web site were show file/folder structure as a tree view, enforce file based security, thumbnails images, slide show, display files, integration of paypal payment and upload files. Our talented professionals gave a unique solution for this bitwise file synchronization. Along with website a desktop application was also created for synchronization. The entire framework was based on the highly acclaimed open source content management system. The system offered four types of memberships i.e. Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. These memberships are differed from each other through storage space and monthly or yearly fee. The key features of the solution are: Basic This feature is available as a trial to all the users by default. By using this feature a user can upload and delete files and view files by downloading them. Users can download a desktop version for synchronization of data. Enhanced In order to access the properties of this feature user have to pay for a specified duration. This feature allow a user to upload, edit and delete a file, view files online, send file as an email to friends. Including the functions Basic this feature allows a user to specifically allow guests access to certain folders and/or files. All Guest Accounts will still have Read Only access and users will not be able to change and user will set the amount of days a Guest can have access to the site Advanced This feature is costly as compared with the enhanced but it gives all the permissions to the users. This feature includes all the tasks of Enhanced feature and along with this a user having this feature can view the slide show of images online and can play Media files online.

Result : It was an open source CMS project and with a project such as this, there were a number of critical issues and challenges. A stylish and very effective group site that brings together the strengths of desktop and web parts was the outcome of our team efforts. The site lays the foundation for a more advanced level synchronization of data. It enabled every user for large amount of space for a quick and robust data sharing. DNN framework makes the website attractive and secure for data sharing
